and my 2025 Airdrie Mayor Campaign
​is officially underway!

My Pledge to you as Mayor

1. I believe in always receiving more information... not less. So you should have the same. As Mayor, I would like to increase communications from the Mayor's office to ensure that you have a clearer view into the role and into the office. This would include:
  • A quarterly Mayor's report to the community, including what meetings we have been having, how our advocacy work is going and also some education about city departments. I hear all the time that some folks aren't quite sure what the various departments are doing, so it makes sense that we don't always know what our taxes are paying for. Let's change that!
  • More opportunities for Q&A sessions with the Mayor or all of Council (this isn't a decision that I could make on my own, but it's something I would like to propose). This could be coffees with council, town halls or just virtual Q&A's
  • Our outgoing Mayor has made his office accessible and open, and I have no intention of changing that moving forward.
2. With my experience as a leader for over 20 years, I have developed skills for identifying my team mates strengths and helping everyone to function at their highest level. So, when dealing with advocacy I pledge to always be there, but to put the best person forward for that subject to increase our chances of success. This could have me in the forefront, or this could be me playing a supporting role to someone with a higher level of expertise. The conversations are not about one person, they are about us all working with our strengths for the best outcome of the community. 
Campaigns are more fun with great people. Come on out and volunteer with us. It'll be a great time and you'll get to learn more about the city, the campaign and meet amazing people. An added bonus is that it's also a great workout.
